"Pros: This was our second visit to Madeira to see family & friends, and we booked this apartment 12 months in advance as we were familiar with the area. We spent 3 weeks at Apartamento Vista Pontinha over the Christmas & New Year period and could not have asked for better accommodation for our stay. The location is excellent and only a short walk to the various parks and streets full of Christmas lights, food stalls and decorations. There are plenty of good restaurants, cafes and bars within walking distance and a large shopping centre with a supermarket nearby. There are also great views of the marina and harbour from the balcony to watch the cruise ships coming and going. Communication throughout the booking, payment and check in/out processes was great and we were met on arrival by Carolina who was very helpful. The apartment was clean and well equipped with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. It was also cleaned and fresh bed linen and towels supplied mid visit. The aircon worked well, as did the free wifi, tv etc. Best of all was being invited onto the rooftop terrace on New Years Eve to watch the fireworks - thank you, it was spectacular. We would recommend this apartment to other couples looking for good accommodation in Funchal and would definitely stay there again if we return to Madeira in the future. Cons: The glass door to the shower is very narrow and it was a tight squeeze for me to get in/out. Most of the doors on the kitchen cabinets and bedroom closets do not shut properly as the hinges were loose - nothing a good handyman with a screwdriver couldn't fix fairly quickly." ~Phil

"Pros: The apartment is very stylish, decorated with good taste and comfortable beds. The view from the windows is delightful day and night. "Pros: The Host was amazing and the location, was very central, walking distance from all the most popular places. The Wi-Fi is super strong, and the security was brilliant.
