"Pros: Great place to stay for family with 2 children. Continent supermarket 10 min walk. Beach 15 min walk. View from balcony is even better than in pics. Old town under 10 min taxi dependending on traffic. Cons: Could be less noise from traffic on balcony, but you can't avoid it living in that part of Funchal. "Pros: The 4th floor apartment was large, modern, very clean and well appointed. It had a nice balcony view of the sea and mountains. We liked the location as it was in a quieter residential area compared to central Funchal. There were plenty of good restaurants, cafés, bars and supermarkets within walking distance. The seafront was around 10 mins walk with nice bars and restaurants at local prices. There was a promenade walk into Funchal which was around 3 miles away but had cafes and bars to drop into on the way there. Very regular bus service (green line 01 & 02 buses) in to and out of Funchal. The apartment had its own underground car parking space which was useful for car hire. Cons: Nothing." ~Philip

"Pros: The apartment was perfectly clean and has everything you need. It is very cozy and nice and the location is convenient. Cons: We had to do the checkout during the night and the instructions they gave us were lacking an important detail: if you’re with the car, be mindful that the second gate cannot be open without the intercom. They told us to leave the keys inside the apartment but forgot to mention that it was important to put before the car all the way out on the street and only afterwards go back to leave the key inside, otherwise you’ll be stuck inside the second gate" ~Alessia
