"Pros: A nice cozy apartment with lots of food and other natural elements. Works wonderfully for a small family and spending a few days in Furnas. It's right in the heart of the town so everything is very close, including a huge parking! Small tip: go to the small produce store next door and get some Quijadas da Mel :) They are the most divine confection we've ever had." ~Polina

"Pros: This was our fourth time on Sao Miguel and third time in Furnas. We are quite thorough in accommodation search and are always happy with the result. This time is no different. We checked review, inspected photos, evaluated location and made our choice. Casa Nostra ticked all our boxes and it is fair to say it even exceeded our expectations. The location is excellent - right opposite to the poshest hotel in Furnas, walkable distance to all mayor landmarks, restaurants and points of interest; three minutes away from a huge free parking (the one near the stadium). The Casa itself is spacious, clean and well equipped, especially for two of us. The WiFi is fast for either work or relax. The view from the garden is very nice. We had our visit in February, the temperatures sometimes were 13-14 degrees, which wasn't problem at all thanks to heating. Master bedroom was quiet and comfy, with enough storage space for luggage and clothes. Photos of the property are accurate. Cons: I would recommend to replace the pans in the kitchen as the ones we used were warped. But this is really a minor issue." ~Stanislav

"Pros: There is a lot to like about Atlantic 3 Bicas! It is perfectly and strategically situated within walking distance to main landmarks and amenities in Furnas. The shops are 10 minutes away, the Terra Nostra gardens with a thermal pool are almost next door, perfect Poca da Dona Beija thermal pools are ten to fifteen minutes walk. All the restaurants are easily accessible, too. There is a huge free parking near the hotel, we never experienced any lack of parking lots. The hotel itself breezes with freshness, you can feel how new it is, how strikingly clean the rooms and amenities are. There is a small kitchenette and a dining area with two kettles, microwave oven and huge double-door fridge with separate containers for each room. What was particularly useful is washer and dryer, which we used extensively to refresh our clothes and have they ready to be worn in three hours. Of course there is an iron and an ironing board, too. The room was of a decent size with a very nice en-suite bathroom. The TV had Netflix and Amazon Prime for all the rainy days. The staff and owners are very friendly and responsive. It seems we found our favorite place to stay on Azore islands. Cons: There is nothing I can really criticize about the hotel, we really enjoyed our stay. I can just recommend putting a mirror next to the entrance to the room so that women can have a final look on whether they look perfect enough before leaving the hotel. Also, a second chair or stool would be nice to have next to the table." ~Stanislav
