"Pros: The owners could not have done more to make our stay perfect with gifts of fruit from their garden and helpful advice. Communication was good before we arrived, especially as there were a lot of serious forest fires around that area at the time.
The studio is spacious and beautifully furnished with a granite worktop in the kitchen, two ring induction hob, microwave/oven, small fridge, kettle & coffee machine. All the important things are so good - comfortable bed, nice pillows, powerful shower with lots of hot water and plenty of storage. The location is very quiet. Our room looked out over the garden and pool. Although in a small village, the house is surrounded by countryside with views across the valley to the church in the neighbouring hilltop village. There is secure parking inside their garden and plenty on the road outside too. We enjoyed the pool and lazing on the sunloungers after a day of sightseeing.
Cons: We intended to self-cater in the evenings and found the local shops didn't have much in the way of food. We should have stopped at a big supermarket in Guimaraes before we arrived."
