"Pros: We loved the house itself. It was pretty big for the 3 of us, and felt very cosy. The terrace is also huge, but it rained frequently so we didn't get to use the grill. Castro Laboreiro is a rather genuine place, where mass tourism is not welcome. The trails are a bit wild, but some pretty accessible. You should try to do a jeep trip to the Planalto, and visit the Ponte da Cava Velha. Cons: If you are staying for longer than a week, take some time to cook at home. The restaurants in Castro Laboreiro are good, but they do not offer much variety." ~David
