"Pros: Absolutely gorgeous property much better than pics with sea view one side and mountains the other, stunning picture windows at back of house and two balconies with gorgeous views. The games room is fabulous & family loved it. Well equipped kitchen. Spacious with lots of room for us. Pool lovely though not heated. Nice garden & patio area. Parking space useful off road. Great location for us 10 mins drive from Funchal. Local bar in walking distance at top of hill. Cons: Very cold at night and no spare bedding or blankets. Kitchen would get absolutely covered in ants including inside dishwasher and only a very toxic spray provided (not even for killing ants but other insects) which I didn’t want to use where my kids were eating! I did complain about this but nothing was done. Literally couldn’t leave anything open on side so lots of cereal/biscuits etc went damp in fridge. Couldn’t even have 5 mins relaxing after dinner as they’d be all over the dishes. Wi-Fi signal intermittent. Bit of noise from road outside but I sleep with earplugs so not a problem for me. Had to buy bin bags, salt, pepper, oil, dishwasher tablets foil & cling film to wrap food & although I understand this is guest responsibility it adds a lot to the cost and means you waste them as can’t take all that home - providing these plus extra blankets & ant traps would make this property a 10/10." ~Kirsten
