"Pros: The accommodation was comfortable. It was spacious enough to fit the whole family of four members. As Ribeira Grande lies on the central-northern shores of Sao Miguel the distance anywhere on the island is short. We can strongly recommend the place to anyone considering longer holidays.
Cons: The public transportation on the island is limited. Though the apartment has plenty of assets it would serve well only to people with their own vehicle."

"Pros: Super friendly host, modern and well-furnished home that was very comfortable. Street parking was never difficult, always a spot within a few yards of the front door.
Cons: One important note, pool is "open all year" but is not heated (we ran into this issue several places, it seems common to have a pool but not heat it) so outside of peak summer you may not find yourself braving the icy waters, as the Azores' air temperature is never that hot.
For lap swimming we found a really nice indoor town pool 5 minutes away."

"Pros: The biggest advantage is the view. Beautiful nature around and views. Vast gardens and access to the swimming pool
Good location if you have a car (plenty of parking on the street + small parking lot nearby). Very comfortable bed and clean apartment. Also very friendly host.
Cons: The quirky layout of the apartment didn't take the full advantage of the beautiful nature and gardens. You cannot enjoy them from the inside, unless you are washing the dishes by the sink. You can of course sit on the terrace, but the furniture is not the most comfortable. So you are either inside, with small windows, or outside.
So in the end I feel like it wasn't such a great value for money, especially when I compare it with another apartment I stayed at, that was nicer and cheaper.
Apart from dish soap and liquid soap there were no other toiletries (no shampoo or body wash). Also - kitchen well equipped with pots, pans, plates etc, but it would be soooo nice to have the basic cooking stuff like salt, pepper, oil.
The most expensive laundry service ever - I regret not asking for the price upfront."
