"Pros: Lorena and Fernando are the most amazing and hospitable hosts. They really care for their guests and want to make sure they have an amazing time. They can provide you with a lot of information about what you can do on the island and are genuinly nice to talk to. Even though we had a language barrier we could still sit down and have a nice chat. I would really recomend staying here as a solo female traveler. I felt really safe and welcome. Bonus points: The accomodation is really close to the beach and surfschool, and great food is made by lorena and fernando! "Pros: It was quite nice accommodation near Ribeira Grande. The bathroom was common with other rooms, it is a little bit uncomfortable, but there are 4 rooms for 2 bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. The bed is not too good yet. "Pros: It was so close to the beach, loved that! Very nice area, close to the main town but not close so you feel the quiet and peace. Ribeira Grande is close to Ponta Delgada, so its a very nice location. One of the breakfast ladies was so nice. Cons: We found a tuna steak on the microwave on the first night, so that was not nice. I asked for lactose free milk and they didn’t get it and I already specified that on the booking." ~Laura
