"Pros: Superb location with a terrace overlooking the bay where we would see distant dolphins. HIghly recommend for families as the property is comfortable and has the extras you need like washing machine, larger drying rack, lots of pegs, extra quilts etc.! coffee machine. We had wetsuits so the drying room downstairs was perfect. The village itself has a lovely little harbour, superb free swimming pool (sea water) with great little burger bar, kids loved it. Within very easy reach of the main whale watching town Lajes. Walter the host was a very kind and attentive host who showed us down to the pool on arrival. "Pros: This house is very complete, everything is wel thought of. Also very nice it is an authentic house. Located near Lajes do Pico. The interior looks new. Communication with owners was perfect. Nice view on the ocean. Cons: Navigation on google/booking was not really the same, and while arriving in the dark...and then it is real dark, it was difficult finding. Later we have seen the signs, you better follow these." ~Leonie

"Pros: It’s closely located to Lajes, where many expeditions like whale watching start from. Within a 20 minute radius you find great restaurants for dinner and lunch. It’s the most scenic part of the island - reminds me of Amalfi. The fridge is stocked with local wine and cheese which you are welcome and encouraged to consume. Outside each house has a terrace facing the bay. Comfortable bed Breakfast every day is abundant, with local cheese, honey, bread, jams, local juice, tea and coffee. We were able to ask for some scrambled eggs though, as we don’t eat that many carbs usually.
