"Pros: Excellent location for the beach and local hikes. Plenty of space in the apartment for a family of five and our host was very responsive when we contacted them about there not being a kettle in the apartment. They delivered a brand new one within hours. The balconies were great and the pool area was really lovely.
Cons: The showers were poor and a few of the doors didn't close. Small things compared to what is otherwise a lovely space."

"Pros: The place is big and comes with everything you need for a longer stay. Big living room, big bedroom, two ground floor terraces facing the pool, bathroom with a bathtub, and a nice size kitchen with everything you need including washing machine.
The place also has a tennis court if that is something you fancy, but I am not sure how to book it or if it is first come - first serve. You have your own free parking lot right in front of the entry, so that is convenient.
Location-wise, it is very central and not too far from a number of restaurants or Praia da Mareta. But still good to have a car as Melides is a decent size town and it can be chilly even during high summer due to strong winds and sub-20C degrees most days.
Cons: As big and nice as the place is, I still find it way overpriced compared to everywhere else I stayed in Portugal.
The apartment name is not listed on Google Map, so impossible to find without the help of the owner when you arrive. This made the handing over of the keys a little challenging in our case due to some language issues and roaming access when we arrived."

"Pros: The apartment was very well laid out, with quiet and comfy bedrooms, especially the ones at the back. The heater was appreciated as the nights got much colder than usual here! the rear terrace was a nice place to relax and the strong washing lines and hose were great for hanging and washing wetsuits. The location was good with an easy walk into town and good road access.
Cons: The pole for the satellite dish/aerial bangs against the side of the house in the wind. We had to buy a stove top coffee maker."
