"Pros: The property is very conveniently situated for Faro Airport, being less than 20 minutes drive away. It's fairly easy to find (once you know which gate to go to!) and centrally located for all destinations along the south coast of the Algarve. I admit we had a slight difficulty finding the entrance, but luckily the owner was walking along the road and came and helped us. Parking is right next to the entrance, with access directly onto the main road. There are plenty of shops withing easy reach, including hypermarkets at Loule and Estoi. The entrance gate leads onto a decent sized patio with garden furniture, a big parasol, colourful plants and good views of the hills behind. Despite being close to a motorway, the property was quiet at night. The property itself is spacious and airy, with a large, tall-ceilinged room serving as kitchen, lounge and bedroom, and a separate bathroom. The main room is well lit, with a ceiling fan and air conditioning, and two beds, one single and one double. All linen is provided, as are towels. When we arrived the property was clean and had recently been aired. The hosts were very friendly, with good English skills, and gave us a great welcome. They clearly explained how everything worked, where everything was, and how to find the local shops, restaurants, and so on. There is plenty of storage space available, and the kitchen is well equipped with pans, utensils, crockery and so on (a nice change from those properties which claim to have fully equipped kitchens and turn out to have a blunt knife and a frying pan!). A two ring induction hob, a microwave and a separate oven mean that even the most committed self caterers should have no problem preparing a good meal. The bathroom was clean, with a bath containing a mixer shower, a toilet, basin and bidet, and toilet paper and toiletries were available. There is also a washing machine available in the property next door, which was very useful! Cons: To be honest, for the price we thought that not much could be bettered. There are a few barking dogs in the area, but that's beyond the control of the hosts." ~Kirk
