"Pros: An incredible house with panoramic ocean view! We really enjoyed that the house was historic but also renovated, so you are getting both culture and comfort. It has more than you need, from the kitchen, to the bathrooms; and you are able to witness sunrises and moonrises right from your living room! Watching the stars at night was an unforgettable experience too. The management team is very kind and helpful; communication was really good throughout our stay. "Pros: Fantastic view of the bay. Big comfy towels. Everything needed for a few days. Cons: There’s no shade or shelter available outside, so if you’d rather stay out of the sun or sit outside in the rain, out of luck. This doesn’t matter if the weather is good but the house is quite small and feels smaller if staying inside too much. I’d still stay there again." ~Gomes

"Pros: A nice little house with one of those traditional chimneys in Santa Maria. The kitchen was well equipped, there was enough place for us to work., too. Beautiful view from the terrace to the village. The house has not really any neighbors, good option for those people who want a little privacy. It was a good value for the money. Cons: First time we had a little issue to find it in a proper way, because it is on the hill, far from other neighbors. The humidity is a common problem in the island, which was not told us. When we arrived, the apartment was so cool, we started to heat and because of the condensation, suddenly the water appeared everywhere. With a bit better communication from the owner´s side it could be not so stressful for us. Anyway, the water dries when you heat out the apartment, no worries because of that, just a small inconvenience at the beginning. And finally, I guess the washing machine is not in the best condition, as it is outside of the house." ~Diana
