"Pros: Jose and Anita are wonderful hosts that communicate and assist at just the right level. The traditional updated home is beautiful and placed in a very charming village (I believe it’s from a great great Grandfather?). It was so nice to walk through the narrow streets to get views of the surrounding hills. We highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a true get away - it’s a unique property and we found the local church bells a nice touch to the place. Also the local winery tour with Jose’s cousin was really good and informative!
Cons: liked everything about the property but know it’s a local village with limited provisions so simply need to go up to a larger nearby village."

"Pros: We loved the 4 days at Quinta da Padrela Winery House - everything from the location (which is a great base in which to explore the rest of the Douro) to the Quinta to the highly entertaining and animated wine tasting given by Jose Rodriguez to the great wines, olive oil and cheeses. It was really special:)
