"Pros: Very friendly and polite staff. Very clean and comfortable. Central location. Cons: The booking was for a private bathroom. The house had two rooms and a shared bathroom. The door to the bathroom was very stiff and creaked badly. The room was above a busy and noisy bar in a narrow street. A noisy neighbourhood." ~Bryan

"Pros: The space has been renovated really tastefully, with lovely, high quality furnishings. It is spacious (I could do yoga!) but also cosy, and well insulated (and spotless). We used the kitchen on two occasions and it's great for simple meals. There are local shops a minute away and a big supermarket 5 mins by car. Teresa and Francisco were a delight, giving us fruit from the garden and being available for anything we needed. The town is quite quiet but we enjoyed staying here and it's within easy driving distance (20-30 mins) of the Coa Park rock engravings and only 10 minutes from the start of the scenic train line to Oporto. (It's a nicer town than Vila Nova). You can also access nice walks in the hillside straight from the accommodation. I'd love to go back in Spring to see everything in flower. Overall, a lovely stay.
