"Pros: Adorable accommodation that in addition to tranquility and fantastic views offers great value for money. The place consists of several huts located on a sloping hill overlooking the ocean and the island of Pico. If you arrive by car, there is plenty of paking, but be prepared to drive down and up hill through a dirt road to park next to your hut. The general location is excellent, providing a feeling of peacefulness but at the same time being next to the main connecting road, close to the airport and walking distance from a well-stocked minimarket. Also, the place is adjacent to the coastal biking/hiking trail. The host Filip has to be one of the nicest persons we've met on the Azores. We really appreciated his kind explanation of all the main sights, restaurant recommendations and his offer for help if we run into any type of trouble. We also really liked the generous welcome gift. The rooms are well equipped, including a sofa and a small dining table and all the necessary kitchen amenities, including a washing machine and a coffee maker. The water pressure in the shower was great with plenty of hot water.
Cons: On the other hand, the furnishing is starting to look a bit used and aged, with some dirt and mold accumulating here and there. There is no heating or A/C, so during chilly days/nights you will really feel the cold (luckily, there were plenty of blankets available). Regardless, we still enjoyed our stay here and we would recommend this place to anyone who doesn't mind a more humble and rustic experience."
