"Pros: The location is stunning, with a view to eternity from the villa's mountainside position. It was a bit of a maze to find our way in at first but we quickly got used to the steep and twisting little roads. Arriving makes it all worth it. The villa is secluded with beautiful gardens, fruit trees and flowers. The pool is very private and there is a BBQ. The church bells ringing down in the valley all add to the ambiance. We found several lovely walks up and around and in the forests. The owner was very kind and helpful (those cherries were delicious Rui, thank you!) Cons: If you need to truly get away, this place is perfect as there is no wifi (yet). Using mobile data for occasional calls was enough for us but others may find it restricting. Having no washing machine may be a problem for families." ~Maria

"Pros: Helena and Carlos were EXCEPTIONAL hosts. We had a logistical problem (we were given the wrong location) and they immediately sorted everything out in the most wonderful way. The apartment is spectacular. The location, the rooms, the facilities, and the views are breathtaking. We were only there one night (Camino walkers) but could have stayed for a month.
