"Pros: Creole style Nice black and white photos Beds OK Nice terrasse Cons: With a bit of taste and TLC, this vintage Creole house could be very pleasant. Unfortunately, it’s dark and damp (so lots of mosquitoes), badly maintained, badly furnished, and very overpriced. The photos do not reflect the real position of the house near a busy and noisy road in a unattractive area (even with view on the Piton des Neiges!) The parking slope is impossible to negotiate. Beware : No washing machine, no towels nor tea-towels, no soap, no WIFI. Expensive and uncomfortable." ~Wayne

"Pros: I stayed for only one night, but I loved the place. The location is very good, close to the center of cilaos. The place is quiet and the host is extremely friendly, also the view from the balcony is breathtaking, you can see the walls of the volcano and the Piton des Neiges. "Pros: Incredibly good deal for the price! I had a huge comfy bed and on-suite shower with a garden-facing view. However, what makes this place stand out is that Paul and Lydie host apero at 7pm every evening with their guests. It's a wonderful opportunity to get to know the hosts (Cilaos locals), the other guests (probably also there for hiking), and share some traditional Reunion food and drink." ~Kaitlyn
