"Pros: We loved the house, the facilities, the location, the two dogs on the property, the porch and the view and the village. The house was great, nice area downstairs with kitchen and living room; also liked the option to use a video projector. Upstairs you have two bedrooms, nicely done. We stayed in July so we did not get the chance to use the stove - would have loved it! We visited several places close by - Paltinu Lake, Atra Resort (nice food and view!), An amazing trout farm at about 50 minutes drive (Pastravaria Crasna Bogiri), Salina Slanic (Salt Mine). We also loved taking an evening stroll in the village. Always accompanied by the two dogs on the property. Communicated very well with the owner via booking.com and whatsapp as well as on location. Cons: The only drawback for just one of us was that you could hear dogs barking during the night. Not only in the distance but very close to the house. And not once or twice but on and on over several hours. This was not a problem for everybody but if you are a light sleeper and are after a quiet, 'no sound' night sleep, this can be a challenge. I understand that this is not that much of an issue for the second house on the hill. We stayed in Mandra Ioana, first house." ~Marius

"Pros: The location was perfect for us. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous with an interior design like I've never seen before. Some of the beds are nestled above the downstairs bathroom, which made me feel like a child. The living room is big, with comfy sofas and a stove that I couldn't tear myself away from in the evenings. The backyard is huge, with apple and pear trees and a super cute tree house. We will definitely come back because we loved it here but also because it's close to the Salt Mine and we frequently go there for saline therapies. Cons: Everything was perfect." ~Ana

"Pros: The Blanda Marie cottage is a wooden dream house. It has a perfect blend of modern and rustic elements, with traditional ,folklore touches, is very cozy and has a very pleasant vibe. The upstairs part has an incredible wall to wall window with a gorgeous view, since the house sits on top of a hill, in an orchard style garden full of fruit trees. There are some really nice and thoughtful touches throughout the house- a bookshelf with good books, a rocking dragon, table & chair and playpen for small children, handpicked wildflower tea, ground coffee and coffee maker. The cute kitchen was well equipped with pretty much everything needed for some quick meals cooking. The house is fitted with AC and also has a nice veranda. The generously sized garden has a gazebo, several sitting areas and fire pits, and a young children playground with zip line, slide, swing etc. The owners are some of the nicest people ever met, most accommodating, friendly and attentive, they welcomed us with a jar of raw honey which was so appreciated! Honestly, we hope to go back in the coming years. Thank you, Andrea, for the nicest, most gentle house with such an inspired name ("Blanda Marie"), for your hospitality, and all the information about places to visit, things to do, places to eat , that you kindly provided. Cons: There's only one small downside- the staircase leading to the upstairs is pretty steep and narrow.
