"Pros: - parking before the Hotel
- very soft carpet in the room
- clean rooms
- shower/bath in the room - can be a nice gimmick for some guests
- overall a good experience, but there is room for improvement
Cons: What could be done better - needed improvements:
- to set a wished temperature in the shower is really complicated - the thermostatic shower mixer could work better, also a different = more user friendly design could be an improvement. It seems actually "the form" was for the owners more important as the "function". Please change it.
- shower and bathroom uses the same floor, and the floor slope to the drain was not done ideally, so after showering the water stayed on the whole bathroom floor. If you want to enter the bath after showering you will get wet feet. This should be fixed/repaired the floor.
- the restaurant at the hotel (which is run by a separate company, does not belong to hotel as told) - did not had any other heating as fireplace and some ceiling heaters (difficult to work efficiently as heat is heading up as we know). This was not sufficient and the guests were siting in coats in the restaurant, it was cold (attended in mid March, around +9C outside).
- it took long to the one man waiter in the restaurant to serve us. His colleague (woman) did a great job at other tables, but we belonged to him unfortunately. The restaurant was only to maybe 1/3 full.
- due to cold in the restaurant as the main course arrived to our table it was almost cold unfortunately. The food itself was OK, but the food temperature (being cold) decreased the enjoyment unfortunately.
- breakfast at hotel - they do not offer a buffet, but you have to order from the offered breakfast menu. Dear Hotel if you offer an Egg Benedict in your breakfast offer with sauce hollandaise (as it has to be served), then please serve it as well with this sauce. Without the sauce it is only a poached egg. To my question to the waiter why is there no sauce hollandaise, he apologized that the cook is new and not knowing the menu, and if I wish he will cook a sauce hollandaise." ~Peter
