"Pros: I have been travelling frequently and extensively for decades mainly for leasure purposes and stay mostly at airb&b and short term rental apartments. Surfers Beach Self Catering Apartments are among the best (out of the circa 25-30 apartments I have stayed so far worldwide), in all respect: location, comfort, kitchen, cleanliness, staff, layout, spaciness. Easy check-in, late check-out, helpful and always available owner, daily cleaning, great, open, widespread view on the Indian Ocean, 1 minute walk to the nearest beach (Anse Parnel), properly equipped kitchen (which really made real self catering feasible for us - we cooked dinner nearly every evening), shady big ocean facing terrace, Good location to explore the entire island - providing you rent a car. Airco and fans were highly efficient and silent. Surfers Beach is only 10 minutes drive from the - in my opinion - best 2 beaches on the Island. Would I return? Yes, definitely! Cons: Some minor issues: despite some previous reviews, there is no outside shower / foot washing tap in the garden (or at least we could not find it). This would be really useful, as public toilets/ showers/foot washing utilities are unknown on the beaches of Mahé Island (we have been to like 20, and none of them had any such facilities....though some have open-air fitness parks...) Some curtain would be useful and practical on the bathroom windows. So do insect-net on some of the doors/windows." ~Attila
