"Pros: We enjoyed our 2 nights at this estate. It is a few klm out of the main village with 2 klm of single lane winding road therefore care needed when driving in. Access would be a challenge for a camper. Breakfast and evening meals can be had in the estate restaurant. Although there is no full menu at the restaurant, the owner cooks an evening meal with 2 or three choices.
We did not have breakfast but had 2 evening meals. The food was good but not great and was quite expensive.
There are some nice walks in the area that are signposted, but bring a map if you intend walk as the Estate do not appear to have anything of that type.
Cons: Our room was smaller than we expected from the seeing photos.
There is no real menu at the restaurant, so the choice is very limited.
There is a kettle but no other eating utensils in the room if you want to have a self prepared snack or breakfast.
We were offered a sausage with our diner of soup and charged an extra €8 for 2 small sauages on top of an already expensive meal.
The bedroom window faces east and has poor protection from morning sun. This has been commented in other peoples feedback but does not appear to have been actioned by the owner.
Be very careful where you park your car as it may get damaged by persons (unknown) using a whipper-snipper.
There does not appear to be any walk trail maps or any other information regarding places to go and see in the area provided at the Estate. The owner said she would see if she could find something for us but she never came back on it."
