"Pros: Light House Beach Home in Dondra is a charming little spot that made for a comfortable and easy stay. The room was clean, tidy, and had everything I needed. The location is great—just a short walk to the Dondra Lighthouse and the coast. One of the best parts was the cute little juice bar attached to the property. It’s a great place to grab something refreshing and relax for a while. The staff were lovely—friendly, helpful, and always up for a chat. A simple, no-fuss stay in a peaceful setting. "Pros: You have the whole spatious house. Both rooms and living room are spatious and tidy. The beds are clean and large. One of the rooms has AC. Fan in each room. From the veranda You can see the ocean. Remote calm location. Helpful host. Cons: The location is kind of remote, shops are quite far, so were the few local restaurants. We managed for 4 nights without a car but it is not very comfortable. The kitchen is really basic. Most of the equipment is antient (like it belonged to an old grandma and never since been updated), some stuff is missing (like trash bin+bags , towels to dry plates etc.) so in the end with the remote location and difficulties with shopping it is quite difficult to prepare food. (We managed to do somw fruit, eggs and tea..) There were tons of mosquitoes and no nets. The host advised us to close windows in the evening - but in the non AC room You would die. And also above the doors and windows there is a wooden carved vent through which the mosquitoes will go anyway. The host provided insecticide. During daytime there were tons of flyes, so using the veranda was hard. Try to bring fly swatter. The fan in the non AC room is loud (louder than normal) - bring earplugs. Orherwise the location is super calm, you can hear waves. Generally we’ve enjoyed the stay." ~Simondostal
