"Pros: Both the hotel and the kitesurf centre are amazing. The hotel itself is beautiful and the hotel grounds, common areas, facilities and rooms are all well maintained and very clean. We stayed in a one bedroom chalet and loved having a private terrace with views over the lagoon. The pool is lovely and very clean and the dock was the perfect place to watch sunset. The food at the hotel was amazing - the chefs are excellent and created new menus each day with lots of variety, including vegetarian options. We ended up eating almost all our meals at the hotel because the food was so good. The staff at the hotel, including the four front of house staff Telan, Manoj, Sudesh and Roshan, the cleaners, the chefs and kitchen staff and the groundsmen were all so friendly, helpful and kind and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. We felt so well looked after by everyone, which really added to how much we already loved the hotel. The manager, Hirantha, also went above and beyond and really helped us out during our stay. We took kite surfing lessons at the hotel's kite surf centre. Matt and his team at the kite centre were brilliant. The centre is well organised with good equipment and the lessons were excellent. We really can't recommend both the hotel and the kite surf centre enough. And to top it all off, the hotel's dog is the loveliest dog I've ever met! Cons: Nothing - it was perfect!" ~Megan

"Pros: MKS is a fantastic spot to learn how to kitesurf from scratch. It has all elements required, good wind, good equipment, shallow warm waters and best of all, an amazing team of great kitesurfers who hosted us with love! The concept of morning Yoga was also super relaxing. Cons: Areas for MKS to grow as a hotel lies in developing its hospitality quality. Improved room amenities such as a better mattress and room luminosity would be a plus. Also, an improved breakfast with better bread and jam quality would go a long way." ~Leo

"Pros: I loved the location, the room was larger than i thought and the guy Ruwan, who runs the place is an absolute legend. We formed a good friendship during my two week stay. A genuine heart. Cons: The kitchen facilities still need to be properly installed and cleaned. Understandably i was the first guest at the “new” kite life and there are plans for the future to renovate the kitchen and bathrooms." ~Celine
