"Pros: The owner is super nice! He gave us free rides everywhere, showed us crazy spots nearby the river and also, we end up the trip in night camping together.
He also offer very enjoyable rafting trip.
We stayed for 4 nights instead of just one, just because it was super fun.
Also, there is a nice kitchen to cock in.
And , the place is really in the nature- just a piece of heaven
Cons: Very simple room ( electricity is not always working, shower has no hot pipes etc)" ~Guy
"Pros: Owner is the main attraction along with the location. Ideal for Backpackers and low budget travellers. Owner took us around showed all the attractions without any additional cost. I have given an average rating for some items not to mislead other travellers. Owner is extremely knowledgeable and keen to ensure his gusts are well looked after and stay happy.
Cons: Accommodation was basic. On the road so a bity noisy." ~K
"Pros: The campsite was located directly next to one of the main rivers of Sri Lanka. We slept in one of the tents and had a beautiful view on the river and combined with all the sounds of the jungle it was an amazing experience. Also Shan, the host of the stay, was incredibly polite and we did a very nice walk on the border of the rainforest and through the village. Shan pointed out all the birds, insects and vegetation during this walk, which was very interesting . He also had fresh veggies, herbs and fruits from his own garden located on the campsite.
Cons: It was a little hard to find, since the name of the Booking.com doesn't match with the one on Google Maps (on there it was called "The Kithulgala Camp")." ~Febe
"Pros: The two guys Lionel & Kumar who run the place are very friendly. They will go out of their way to assist you in any way possible. They did my laundry for me. Lionel can arrange rafting, canyoning etc through Raft 39 where he works so this is convenient if you are in the area to do such things. The hotel is still under partial construction but this didn't impact my stay. I believe it is due to be finished soon for the upcoming main season as I was informed. The room is a very high standard, brand new, good AC, good bed, bathroom etc. Location is up a twisty mountain road, fine if you have a small car or tuktuk. If not the owners will assist by taking you up/down as they are always in the area. Dinner & breakfast served was always good & plenty of food so you won't go hungry.
Cons: Such a minor negative comment but the coffee at breakfast could have been stronger as it was very weak. Shower could do with a fitted screen to keep bathroom dry when showering. Minimal really but something to improve if possible." ~Daman
