Are Ski Sanctuary Apt For 4 With Slope Access

"Pros: Great apartment, nice beds, functional kitchen etc. Cons: We could not find info about WIFI login. We emailed twice but got no answer. The info that Åre Ski Sanctuary is the hotel still branded as Tott was not clear. This creates confusion. We were lucky to meet one staff by accident, that's how we found the room. The information about how to get keys etc could me much more concrete. Checking out at 10:00 is ok but many guests ski on the day of departure. A luggage room with access to a toilet and maybe some place to change clothes would be a big improvement. The only toilet we found, next to the office, was locked. So overall, a great stay and I might come back again. I realize the ambition to reduce overhead cost, need for staff etc but there is a limit when the level of service becomes to low. You have some things to work on. :-)" ~Ollenys

"Pros: I booked the cheapest place I could find, which was still quite expensive - but it was above my expectations. I think it might have been because we got a last minute free upgrade, our original booking had only 2 bedrooms and sauna wasn't mentioned. The building is right by a ski lift so really good for intermediate/advanced skiers who can use red slopes and anchor lifts to move around the resort. Not so nice for beginners as you'll need to driive/take a cab or walk a lot to a bus to get to the beginner-friendly areas. Cons: Location is a bit far and a steep uphill climb from downtown Åre. There's a cable car but it's pretty slow and doesn't come too often, also can be very crowded on the way up. Best to get there by car or very expensive taxi. Overall decent amenities, but sauna element was small for the size of the sauna and took a long time to get it up to a decent temperature. Still the sauna was an unexpected bonus so I'm not complaining. The view was pretty great, overlooking the lake and facing south-west. However there were no drapes and the sun was a bit much in the afternoon. Not a big fan of the completely unmanned facility, I really like a good old fashioned front desk." ~Alexandru
