"Pros: I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Friendly staff, good breakfast and coffee. The room was very comfortable I did not hear the church bells that often in my room so it was very comfortable. Cons: This is not the hotels fault but something to keep in mind. There is a church close to the hotel. (Across the street) And the church bells can be get pretty loud depending on where you are or where your room is located." ~Tornight

"Pros: Very comfortable apartment, very helpful host and neighbour, very central location beside village, train station and shop, local cafe & restaurant. Great base for a hiking trip. Very easy and fast on public transport to get into Appenzell. Cons: Church bells that ring through the night - bring earplugs!" ~Jane
