"Pros: Beautiful premises (except for our shabby room and the depressing breakfast area). full of history. A very decent restaurant. Overall friendly staff (not everyone speaks english). Excellent location between Splügen and San Bernardino passes. Although that goes hand in hand with hand with s lot of traffic noise coming from the highway. Cons: Rooms are very outdated. We were first offered a very smelly (sewer?) room, but the next room smelled alright. However, it had fungus in the bathroom. See picture. We booked a standard double. According to booking.com it comes with a walk-in shower AND a bath. The smelly room only had a bath, the other one only a shower. The promised ‘garden view’ turned out to be a narrow alley.
