"Pros: We recently stayed in this apartment as a family of 2 adults and 2 children who are from the UK but live in the UAE. The apartment is decorated to a very high standard and is modern and very comfortable and also very clean. It is very big, plenty big enough for 4 people. Bedrooms are spacious and there is a huge bath in the master bedroom. The balcony is also very big with gorgeous views of the sea. There is a washing machine (which is not listed on the list of amenities) and also a tumble dryer.
The shared swimming pool is large and again very clean. It was often very quiet so as a family we had the whole pool to ourselves which was wonderful. It is a really beautiful pool area.
The apartment complex itself is located on top on a very steep hill which we would never have considered walking up with 2 children. However, you can order taxis on the Grab app which are able to come in to the complex and pick you up or drop you off right outside the apartment so the hill was therefore never a problem for us. Our son was sick one night so we ordered takeaway food on the Grab app to the apartment which was also delivered straight to the door. There are some lovely restaurants with great views further up the hill and also a beautiful bakery close by which you could walk to (we didnt as we have small children). At the bottom of the hill, you are in the heart of Kata. We loved the fact that we could escape the hustle and bustle of the busy town in this lovely peaceful apartment. It was always very quiet.
The staff who manage the apartment were wonderful. They will create a whatsapp group and were very quick to reply to any questions we had and they were extremely friendly. There is 24 hour security on the gate of the complex and they were very strict about who they let in, always checking ID of taxi drivers etc so that made the place feel very safe.
Overall I would highly recommend this apartment, we enjoyed every moment of our fantastic stay there.
Cons: The apartment could benefit from having a safety deposit box. As a tourist when travelling it is always peace of mind if you can lock away passports etc. Saying that, there was really good security on the complex and it always felt extremely safe."
