"Pros: I liked natural attractions, forest, river, cult and sacral buildings (monastery, churches) with authentic style choirs and traditional Orthodox costume-based performances nearby, organic products available (milk, berries, mushrooms, homemade cheese) available right beside the hotel at the marketplace. The bus station is located 1 minute walk on-foot. The railway station is located 20 km, and the community public transport available, very cheap price; taxi cost to the railway station is 12 USD; public transport cost to the railway station is as cheap as 1-2 USD. From the railway station you can comfortably and cheaply travel to Kiev (for the ticket price to Kiev may vary from 2 to 15-20 USD per person depending on the passenger seat price and travel time). "Pros: The good, Sumy hostels are a little on the expensive side but this hostel is low priced. In fact, it's a motel, of single rooms, not dorm rooms, so the price is excellent. There is a kettle and microwave. The manager is a 'good guy'. It's a straight go from the bus station. A longish walk but not too far and if you're traveling light and very' easy to find. They have chickens nearby, so fresh eggs! Cons: The bad. The location is on the far edge of Sumy, in an industrial (not chemical) section. There are lots of buses going into City Center though. My room had no window, I would suggest they have a fan available." ~Paul
