Hosts provides booklets of Samarkand sights in different languages. There is a beautiful big coffee table book of Samarkand. The host also gives you a suggested itinerary with restaurants recommendations. Quiet location. Yandex is very inexpensive in Samarkand, but it's also walkable to Registan Square.
