"Pros: When we were put in the correct room, it was nice and spacious. There was a washing machine and a place to hang clothes on the balcony. The AC was good There wasn't much counter space and the cooking and eating utensils were sparse. No forks, spoons, or a frying pan in either room. The first room had a microwave but not the second one. There was a rice cooker, a kettle, some pots, a knife, and chopsticks. The first room didn't have a cutting board. The location was good. A few grocery marts and a street market were only a few minutes away walking and there were a couple smaller marts on the main floor of the building. The beach was about a 20 minute walk. Anything else you would need to get a grab or taxi to go further East. It was really quiet when we were there (November). It was relatively quiet. We couldn't hear the neighbors hardly at all until the last few nights when someone was singing karaoke at all hours of the day/night, but I don't think anything could've blocked that. The internet was fast and reliable. Cons: The address was incorrect. We assumed it would be one of the tall buildings around the corner, and our grab driver was nice enough to drop us off there. After an hour of waiting at the side of the road trying to get in contact with the owner (we told him when we'd be arriving), he finally came out and found us. He didn't help us with our bags much. He took one and hurried off, doubling back occasionally to make sure we were still coming. We had a lot of bags and it took a while to get everything over the curb then up the stairs. He seemed impatient and we felt rushed to catch up, but he didn't offer to help us. We paid in cash, despite the app saying no cash. We had to go to an ATM and he was nice enough to give us a few hours to relax and get the cash. We texted him when we had it ready, but we didn't have exact change. We asked if he would have change and he said he did. He specifically said he had the 75,000 dong. When he came, he didn't have the change and acted surprised that we didn't have exact change. He kept saying he'd bring it later, but he never did. We gave up asking after the third or fourth time. We were placed in a much smaller room for the first three days. I guess they overbooked? We were never told why. So we had to pack and and move all over again after three days. The owner came to help us move, but didn't say when despite us asking several times. He showed up when we were out (we told him we were out), so we had to rush back and rush to pack the last of our things while he was waiting in the hall. The room we stayed in after that was not cleaned properly. The floors and counters were grimy and some of the sheets and towels were hanging up to dry and still damp. There was some food from the previous guests in the cupboard. The tiles in the shower were not laid properly and water would collect under it, you could here it squishing when we stepped on it after showering." ~A
